Being safe while using the internet is extremely important for all, especially youth. Apply your online safety know-how to a school assignment as a community service project. Not only will you be seen as a leader to other youth – including those younger than you – but you will be increasing awareness on a completely relevant topic in today's techno world.

What do you want people young people to understand about online safety? How do you want to visually represent the message? This task mixes your creative skills with your people skills.

1. Make a Poster:

Using a drawing or painting program, make a saftey poster with your message of cyber safety. Use clip art, text, slogans, etc.

2. Create A Slideshow:

Come up with concepts that give people a reason to think about online safety. For example, create a list of your Top 10 tips to stay safe online. If you don’t have access to Microsoft Powerpoint, create your slides in a word processing program or on poster paper!

3. Create a Webpage:

Make a webpage that people could access, explaining the dangers of and cautions of cyberspace. Teach young people how to stay safe while surfing the net. Make some links to useful websites that can be used as resources.
