Articles must be unbiased, showing both sides of the argument (not your opinion).
Focusing on the facts; who, what, where, when, how. (the only exceptions are the few editorials we may have). Remember, the purpose of the paper is not to show all the negatives of the school.
Interviews: You will most likely need to interview people. Make interview appointments days ahead of time.You may find it easier and faster to interview people at lunch, class, before and after school. Be prepared with questions you wish to ask and paper to write responses and quotes. You may not interview students in the yearbook class (unless pre-approved)
Do not write in the first person.
You must get your article pre-approved with teacher before you start writing.
Not all of your articles will necessarily be published in the newspaper.
