School Rules
To Make Our School a Safe and Productive Place...
- Students will follow the directions of all staff members at all times.
- Students will be in proper uniform dress at all times (See Lewis Uniform Dress Code).
- Students will be SEATED in class with materials ready when class begins.
- Students will remain on campus the entire school day unless they have been properly excused with an appropriate pass.
- Students will respect school property and the property of others.
- Defacing/destroying school property (e.g., graffiti/rock throwing) may result in arrest and/or suspension (See Lewis Discipline Policy).
- Students will have appropriate hallway behavior. Students running, yelling, putting hands on, or using profanity will be assigned lunch detention.
- Students will not bring the following items to school: Excessive money, weapons, knives, toy water guns, firecrackers, explosive devices, any electronic devices (such as a CD player, radio, MP3 player, walkman, pager, etc.), balls, skateboards, confetti, scooters, rollerblades, spraying devices (body spray), permanent markers, whiteout, wallet chains, hair rags, bandanas, cameras, photo albums and slam books. These items will be confiscated and held until the last day of school or released to a parent. The school is NOT responsible for lost or stolen items.
- Cell phones must be turned off while on campus and will be confiscated if seen on campus. Confiscated cell phones will be held until the last day of school or released to a parent. Students may use cell phones off campus before and after school. The school is NOT responsible for lost or stolen cell phones (See Cell Phone Policy).
- Students will not possess, furnish, use or sell tobacco, drugs, alcohol, drug paraphernalia or weapons (See Lewis Discipline Policy).
Honesty Policy
Students will adhere to the following honesty policy:
Cheating, plagiarism, theft, alteration of materials or forgery will not be permitted. Staff will determine the appropriate consequences.
