Exploring Computers

Welcome!

Students will spend the first 5 to 6 weeks learning or improving their keyboarding skills.

Homework is not often assigned in this class.  Work is done in class on school computers.

Current topic: Excel Spreadsheets

Computer Art/ Web Design

Second semester is web design and building.  The first task will be to form cooperative groups.  That will be followed by examination and evaluation of websites with the goal of discovering the basic features/components of websites.  Students will then begin learning basic HTML coding as they begin to construct their own websites.

Current topic: Art Styles, using Powerpoint

Social Studies

Nearly all work is done in class.  If your student brings work home it usually means he or she did not finish during the generous class time allowed.

Current Unit: Israel then on to Greece
